Bio: Every time Dave Rees takes to the decks you can expect to experience a magical musical journey that’s steered by a true passion and love for dance music coupled with a knowledge and repertoire spanning almost twenty years. Whether Dave’s playing House music, in many of its delightful forms, progressive or Club Classics & Anthems, Tribal or Breakbeat, his versatility and understanding of electronic dance music is crystal clear. One of Dave’s greatest qualities is his instinctive feel for building his sets, quickly capturing his crowd he then builds the energy on the dance-floor with ease.

The energy created and the many emotions felt during one of Dave’s sets can only be attributed to his intelligent and careful selection of music that’s mixed with intent. To date, Dave’s overall achievements within the Dance Music industry goes way beyond just DJ’ing. Since 1996, Dave has held numerous residencies, most notably ‘Contagious’ @ the Honeyclub and ‘Pukka Up @ Everyday People’ – The Escape Club, Brighton (“The Number One Night in the South” – DJ Mag) (current), guested at over 50 venues throughout the UK including Turnmills – London, Renaissance – Stevenage and Ocean Rooms, Brighton, played alongside several world renowned DJ’s including Danny Rampling, Anthony Pappa, Matt Darey and Commie, toured internationally to South Africa, USA and Madeira: holds a bi-monthly residency for ‘Honeyclub Live’ on Juice 107.2FM, has appeared on Horizon Radio, South Africa and WFCF Radio in St. Augustine, Florida, USA, been runner up in IDJ Magazines Readers Mix Tapes competition, is featured on “DJ’s complete guide DVD”, has promoted his own club nights, ‘Presence’, judged ‘DMC’ mixing championship heats and attended advanced mixing courses plus continues to produce and remix music under a number of guises for labels including New Sound 2000, Connekt 2 Music Ltd., Celestial, Soulstorm and Aquarius Records.
