When you think of Ibiza three things usually spring to mind, Sunday's at Space, the sunset at Cafe Del Mar and Cream at Amnesia. The latter of the three has become an Ibiza institution and after another legendary opening party last week, we arrived on the island for the second instalment, the Cream Ibiza Album Launch party, in association with Goodgreef and featuring Eddie Halliwell, Ferry Corsten and Ronald Van Greldren in the Main Room. While out on the Terrace, in association with Glasshouse, Axwell, Lottie, Anthony Probyn and Daley Padley were housing it up.

The Main Room was the main focus of our attention though and we arrived just before 2am to find newly appointed weekly resident Ferry Corsten already firmly in the swing of things. Amnesia was looking as fantastic as ever, Cream and Goodgreef logo's hung from the roof, there was a massive laser deflecting of disco balls placed strategically around the room and the soundsystem was sounding as crystal clear as ever. Then there was the world famous megatron, teasing us as it shot up towards the roof, before the first full on blast of dry ice on to the crowd, welcome to Amnesia!

Ferry was treating us to some of the best trance around at the moment with the vocals of Luminary - Wasting and Filo & Perry's Ordinary Moment ringing around Amnesia as the room continued to fill and fill. He picked up things a bit with Nitrous Oxide - Frozen Dreams, which is expected to be one of the big tunes of the Summer. It was a much more varied crowd in Amnesia than usual, with alot of the crowd chanting ooohh ooohh through Ferry's set, this thankfully subsided as the night went on though. Ferry changed things towards the end of his set, with the other side of his sound coming through with tunes like Rock Your Body Rock dominating his last half hour.

The night belonged to Eddie Halliwell though and he arrived on at 4am and got straight into it with O'Callaghan v Kearney - Exactly, which set the tone for what was to be a trance fest form first tune to last. He worked the effects and did some scratching, but didn't over do it as he has been known to in the past. Tonight it was all about the tunes and the megatron was working over load as it seemed every tune played was worth a blast! Three in a row from Sean Tyas all got the dry ice treatment, his remixes of Duderstatt - Muhanjala and Aled Mann - Cold Fusion were followed by one of the biggest tunes around at the moment, Lift, which had Amnesia absolutely rocking and was possibly the tune of the night. Then came Kuffdam & Plant - Dream Maker's (Shogs 2 Faces Mix) which was followed by the familiar airport announcement from Balearic Bill's classic, Destination Sunshine. Eddie was clearly loving it as much as the crowd, but in conjunction with San Antonio's new licensing law's, the night had to end prematurely at 6:15am, though not letting his last tune kick on was a bit harsh on the dj and crowd alike. But still, the crowd spilled out into the fresh Ibiza morning, safe in the knowledge Thursday night's in Amnesia will once again be amongst the biggest on the island.
